Keep all your machines clean. All software connected to the Internet must be kept up to date. The most up-to-date versions of all important security software and other frequently used programs and applications, including computer and mobile operating systems, should be running.
Be two steps ahead. Two-step authentication should be used for existing accounts (also known as two-step verification or multi-factor authentication). Two-step authentication can use everything from a short message to a phone to a biometric icon, such as a fingerprint, to provide enhanced account security.
Backup. Important works, music, photos and other digital information must be regularly backed up and safeguarded in a secure way.
Create better passwords. A strong password must contain at least 12 characters. Strong passwords should be created by focusing on Proverbs, favourable positive sentences, idioms, proverbs.
Delete if you are in doubt. Cybercriminals often steal personal information through links in e-mail, social media messages and online advertisements. Even if the source is known, keep away from suspicious contents.
